I stayed at Hostal Shalom and had a great time. The location is perfect, just a short walk to Carazilillo Beach and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. Checking in early was a bonus, especially after a long journey. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hostel had a lively bar with cheap prices, making it a great place for budget travelers. The outside garden was spacious and had plenty of seating. The mosquito net in the dorm room was effective, although it would have been better if everyone closed the door properly. I highly recommend Hostal Shalom for its location, atmosphere, and friendly staff.
Nothing at all 😊

I recently stayed at Hostal Shalom for a month and had a fantastic time. The location is perfect, with beautiful beaches like Carizallio and Playa Coral within walking distance. There are also great dining options nearby, as well as a supermarket and market for convenience. The hostel itself has a fun and lively atmosphere, with a bar that offers fair prices. I loved the open chill areas, where I could socialize or find a quiet spot. The outside kitchen, swimming pool, and ample outdoor space in nature were also highlights. And let's not forget the cats - they added so much love and entertainment to my stay.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The value for money at this hostel was great, with a nice room and good facilities. The location was convenient, close to the beach and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful, making my stay enjoyable.
The only improvement that could be made is adding more variety to the breakfast items.

I had an incredible stay at this hostel! The highlight for me was definitely the adorable and friendly cats that made my days so enjoyable. The location was perfect, just a short walk to stunning beaches like Carizallio and Playa Coral, and also close to a supermarket and local market. The outside kitchen and swimming pool were great amenities, and I loved the abundance of outdoor space surrounded by nature. Plus, the staff provided drinking water, which was a nice touch. it was a fantastic month-long stay and I completely fell in love with the cats.
The only thing that could make breakfast better would be to expand the menu with more variety.
